Labmat
Submitted by gms on Wed, 17/10/2007 - 16:19.For the past three years our company has been supplying our 'Flexible Labmat' throughout Europe, but has yet we have not marketed this product in the UK. We are now looking for distributors who would be willing to stock and supply to schools, laboratories etc. This product meets European Quality Assurance specifications, certification of which can be supplied on request.
The GMS Company have for the past fifteen years manufactured the patented Thermapad Plumbers Pads and Mats. This range has been sold through most DIY outfits, who in many cases use their own brand names.
The Thermapad Labmat is manufactured from high temperature glass fabric, which is able to withstand up to 1000°C, contains no hazardous materials and meets current European health standards.
A secondary coating is applied to the surface making the mat resistant to most chemicles and acids, plus improving spillage absorbency of up to twice the product weight.
A Thermapad Labmat measures 250mm x 250mm and is supplied bagged with header. Other sizes are available if required. Headers can be printed with your company name and wording required, however, Labmat EQA specification would be advised.
Packing

Braided packings can be supplied in round, square or rectangular section. They are available in:
- Refrex 1370 °C
- Keramab 1260 °C
- Ecomab 1050 °C
- Kerasil 750 °C
- E-glass 550 °C
All variations can be impregnated with PTFE, graphite or other special products. Keramab and Ecomab ropes are reinforced with glass (650°C) or metal wire (1050 °C).
Twisted Ropes

Twisted rope is produced from a number of single yarns, twisted together.
The diameter of the rope is determined by the number and thickness of the yarns

Webbings and Tapes

Fabrics and webbings are woven with selvedges in widths from 10mm up to 300 mm. They are available in:
- Keramab 1260 °C
- Ecomab 1050 °C
- E-glass 550 °C
Keramab and Ecomab fabrics are reinforced with glass (650°C) or metal wire (1050°C). Depending on the weave pattern used, and the thickness of the yarns in warp and weft, the thickness ranges from 2mm to 6mm. Other thicknesses can be obtained by combining several layers of cloth or webbing.
'Ladder tapes' are also available. This type of webbing has regular perforations in the middle, one-third of the width, to produce a ladder like structure.
The webbing can be supplied with self adhesive backing, or with various special coatings.

Furnace and Kiln Seal

Ceramics fired in kilns are transported through the oven on kiln cars, on rails. Each kiln car is pushing the car in front. During firing, the high temperatures reach and damage the chassis, the wheels of the car, and the rails.
